Welcome YCL's!

I know what you're thinking -- "blogs are for old people...like people in their late 20's!" But that is not true any longer. With camp less than 4 weeks away and everyone so busy and spread out, we need a way that we can collaborate and communicate as a group! Blogs are super easy to use and access, and if we all contibute I think this will be awesome!

Here is what I need feedback on IMMEDIATELY!

1- We need a skit group theme -- remember how last year it was 'AlTUNE-in-time' (Toni and I thought we we so funny, but no one else did...surprising, I know), and we did reality TV shows? We need something like that. Get creative -- we're open to any and all ideas!

2- I'm in the process of revising the camp songbook. I remember that there was a slow song last year that was left out of the book that we sang anyway. It seemed to be a favorite of a lot of girls, and I want to include it in the book this year. Anyone remember what it was? Any other ideas of songs to add to the book?

3- Per your request, we are doing away with secret sister this year (Sister Eden and Sister Covington and I aren't all that broken hearted about it either:). We need some ideas of what to order for the nightly small gifts you will be leaving in the girls tents.

I think that's it for now. Stay tuned for your Night Hike assignments! Camp is going to be so great -- can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!

Love ya,
Bekah

...um...I mean Sister Bekah :)

PS- You each have access to do whatever you want to do on this blog -- you can start new posts, add pictures, ect. Make it your own!

  3. Oriental Trading is perfect for the nightly gifts. Sister Eden knows that i think. I think it would be sweet if we got those sunglasses that kind of look like ray bans but they have like neon side ear thingers i don't know what they're called haha but do you know what i mean?

  7. This is Sister Covington with a request-I need people who can draw! We're putting together a booklet with the schedules and camp information to give all the girls. We need a cover with the theme "Lighten Up!" and a fun illustration. Also- smaller drawings of nature, camp, campers, scriptures, etc. to fill inside pages would be appreciated. They can be simple line drawings.
If you can help, scan your illustrations and email them to me at brucecov@hotmail.com or give them to me at church or any other way that works.
    THANKS!!!

  8. sorry im a little late...
i have an idea for skits: there is this all powerful remote control that mormon-i-fies movies. like a few people would be acting out pirates of the caribbean and are saying, "but why's all the rum gone?" and a few other people come in with the remote and fix it so the scence plays out again but this time the characters are saying something like, "where'd all the orange juice go?"
i don't know, stuff like that.
